Beautiful Vintage US Army New Mexico State Headquaters National Guard Unit Crest Tie Pin, Tie Tac with a bar for attaching to a button hole. The colors are bright and pop. Lots of different textures and colors for eye catching interest. This item is the unit crest of the New Mexico National guard. The main design is a Native American symbol for the sun. This design is adapted from the state flag of New Mexico and alludes to the original inhabitants of the territory. The shape of the crest is a conquistador's helmet and alludes to another chapter in the history of the state. Also called distinctive unit insignia, this item is worn on the Army Dress Blue (ASU) Uniform. See the Photos.
