MATERIAL: Various light and dark wood including Burel.
STYLE: Pair of lovely Sailing Boats on the water Marquetry Pictures.
SIZE: Approximately 7" Long and 6" Wide.
COLORWAY: Light and dark shades of brown woods.
CONDITION: These lovely small pictures were handmade in 1974, the date and artist name is on the back of each. They are wired and ready for hanging. The boats are very detailed and accented by the landscaping. I have not found any serious damage or issues on either picture. Marquetry is a very slow and labor intensive technique that has been around for centuries. These two pictures are excellent examples of the art form!
