Classy Silk Lined Mid-Eastern Oval Amber Stone/925 Silver “Horse” Shadow Box

This fine museum quality mid-eastern deep shadowbox piece is protected by UV protected Museum glass & features a 1.75”x2.0”polished, oval, rounded Amber gemstone. The gemstone itself features a carved inset medieval horse & is set in an impressive antique intricate 925/silver setting. The Amber gemstone $ setting measure 2.25”x3.0”. The original jewel cost to me exceeded $95 & completed shadow box frame itself exceeded a $250. I completed this project in 2013, I think a distraction to the chemo treatments I was undergoing. Frame itself measures 11.6”x23”x2.5” & weighs 3#’s prior to packaging.

The Amber gemstone is s fossilized tree resin, a hardened and preserved form of resin that was originally produced by trees. This resin, often from pine or other coniferous trees, acts as a protective substance for the tree when it's injured. After MILLIONS OF YEARS this resin becomes fossilized under specific geological conditions, turning into the Amber gemstone we know today.
