Handmade Art__Cat

I purchased this pottery piece from an artist in 2011 to put with my memorabilia in recognition of my own 4-legged baby. The purchase came about because of the extremely vivid colors, the small notch in the ear, the dangling fish, and its googly eyes. The front of the cat has extremely vivid glazing colors, consisting of yellow, turquoise, green, red, and white. There are additional multimedia pieces close to the ears and chin that consist of multicolored thin wiring as well as roping with attached dangling beads. The bead that is at the top of the head Protrudes forward on the front, but dangles along the backside to reveal a swimming fish effect. The back of the piece remains unglazed. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time with this piece, but It is now time to move it onward to another home. The artist has signed her piece on the back, and also attached the name card. Because this is a one of a kind piece, selling price will be higher than the pricing tag that is reflected.
